Spend four weeks next summer making art in the west of Ireland.

Our Ballyvaughan program is based at Burren College of Art in County Clare, and it’s open to students from any college, not just Montserrat. You’ll take two courses for 6 credits. In Narrative Art in Ireland, you’ll build a visual essay drawn from the landscape, the people, and the lore around you. In Storytelling in Ireland, you’ll read Irish literature, fairy tales and folk tales, then write fantastical fiction of your own.

Between studio days, you’ll head out along the Wild Atlantic Way to the Cliffs of Moher, Galway, Thoor Ballylee and Coole Park, and you’ll spend a night on the Aran Islands. Tuition covers round-trip airfare from Boston, housing, in-country travel, course supplies and some group meals.
