We love seeing our students share their creative talents with the local community. Animation student Madi Mendoza (`27) recently partnered with BevCam for a Spring 2026 internship, which included leading a community workshop titled "Character Design for Animation - For Kids!"

As the Animation/Design Intern, Madi introduced six local kids to the fundamentals of visual storytelling. Her role involved a bit of everything—from making promotional flyers and assisting local volunteers with their projects, to producing educational videos that sharpened her post-production skills in After Effects and Premiere Pro.

Reflecting on the experience, Madi shared that the internship helped her learn how to better engage a target audience and "explain topics I am severely passionate about in a concise way that others can understand without knowing much."

Congratulations to Madi on a successful workshop and a fantastic semester at BevCam. Thank you to the team at BevCam for partnering with our students to inspire the next generation of creators!
